TAMPA, Florida (March 18, 2025) – Sundt Construction welcomes Brock Southwick to its Water & Wastewater Group as a construction manager. Southwick will support project development and execution across Florida, helping to secure and deliver critical water infrastructure projects.
Southwick brings a passion for his local community and experience leading teams on complex projects across diverse environments, from remote areas of Colorado to major urban developments in southwest Florida. Southwick has held numerous key roles, including field engineer, project engineer, project manager, senior project manager, project director, region manager and division manager.
A graduate of Colorado State University, Southwick earned a Bachelor of Science in construction management and completed certifications with the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour workplace safety training. As an active member of the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF), he understands the region’s critical water issues and looks forward to delivering meaningful water solutions that protect the environment while servicing the growing communities in Florida.
Sundt’s history in Florida dates back more than 50 years. Some of the firm’s notable landmarks include LaunchPad 39A at Kennedy Space Center, where NASA first launched U.S. astronauts into space, and the concrete core of One Atlantic Center in Atlanta, Georgia, built using an innovative “slipform” technique pioneered by Sundt and later used all over the country. Sundt is currently working on the South Tampa Resiliency Project at MacDill Air Force Base.
