DALLAS, Texas (March 20, 2025) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $20,000 in grants to four nonprofits across Texas.
“Giving back is a key part of Sundt’s culture. Our North Texas giving committee is pleased to award four grants this quarter, providing support to vulnerable communities,” said Jackie Barnes, Sundt Foundation board member for the North Texas giving area.
Communities in Schools (CIS) – Greater Tarrant County, received $5,000 to help fund a social worker on campus year-round. CIS is dedicated to helping students stay in school and graduate by providing essential support and resources for kids at risk. This grant will allow the organization to continue its mission of helping students access the help they need to become successful adults.
Don’t Forget to Feed Me Pet Food Bank, Inc (DF2FM) received $5,000 to support its mission of providing pet food to owners in need. This grant will help ease the burden on local shelters and rescues, reducing intake and helping keep families together with their pets. In 2023 DF2FM distributed over nine million pet meals at no cost to the community as the only pet food bank in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace received $5,000 to help provide 15 children with a warm and comfortable bed. The beds help foster a foundation for a child’s dignity, security and potential. With this grant and by partnering with local organizations and engaging community volunteers, Sleep in Heavenly Peace is able to build beds, spark community connections and create support for families experiencing hardship.
Treasured Vessels Foundation received $5,000 to provide critical healthcare access for survivors of sex trafficking. This grant will help address urgent needs such as mental health support, well-woman exams, dental care and specialized treatments. This grant helps the organization to close the gap in health care for vulnerable populations, while helping build resilient communities and creating a lasting positive impact.
