Sundt Construction Adds New Regional Equipment Manager

TEMPE, Ariz. (June 17, 2024) – Sundt Construction recently hired Anastacio “Junior” Madrigal as regional equipment manager for its western regions.

“Junior comes to Sundt with a diverse skillset and experience,” said Scott Miller, director of operations and support services. “We’re thrilled to have his expertise leading equipment operations across Sundt’s western regions.”

As regional equipment manager, Madrigal oversees the execution of equipment operations, including acquisition, performance, and maintenance. He coordinates fleet allocation across all groups in the Southwest, California, Intermountain and Pacific Northwest regions in conjunction with Sundt’s project teams and equipment partners.

Madrigal has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, including service as director and instructor for a state accredited apprenticeship and training trust fund. Most recently, Madrigal spent 14 years in various roles overseeing equipment operations for a large national infrastructure contractor. Madrigal has experience as a laborer, general foreman and heavy equipment operator. He has also worked in heavy haul transport, as a heavy equipment technician, shop manager and as an equipment coordinator.

Sundt has been building critical infrastructure across Arizona for more than 90 years.
